By A massive wildfire is threatening hundreds of homes and businesses in California’s Big Sur.
Cal Fire says the Timber Fire has scorched nearly three-thousand acres since the weekend and is still just five-percent contained. Evacuation orders are in place along the Big Sur coast south of Monterey, where firefighters are trying to keep the blaze from spreading to Highway 101 during the busy tourist season.
In a Tuesday night update, officials said over 500 buildings were now threatened by the fire, with more than 900 firefighters battling the blaze.
