ICE agents may soon be wearing electric gloves capable of delivering painful shocks.
The Department of Homeland Security issued a notice this week saying ICE plans to spend 20-million dollars on thousands of pairs of the electric gloves.
The Kentucky company that makes the gloves says they offer a “humane, low-optics, de-escalation solution for many situations” facing officers, and that they leave no burns, marks or scars. The DHS contract says the electric gloves could be distributed as soon as next March.
