US Representative Greg Casar says he plans to meet with Mayor Gina Ortiz Jones to discuss ICE arrests in San Antonio.
Casar held a press conference on Monday outside the downtown Immigration Court on Dolorosa Street. He described ICE arrests of illegal immigrants outside the courthouse in recent weeks as “disturbing.”
ICE maintains that its agents are authorized to arrest people living in the US illegally, even outside of court hearings.
