A Combes Police Department officer is being praised for helping to save a child’s life. The police department says Officer Echavarria responded to a call about the unresponsive two-year-old on Friday. The officer immediately began CPR, stabilizing the child’s condition until EMS personnel arrived.

The child was hospitalized and is currently recovering. Chief Patrick Quill praised the quick response, saying the officer’s training and dedication helped save the child’s life.
