By The San Antonio City Council is moving full speed ahead with plans to support the construction of a new arena for the Spurs.
The Council voted seven-to-four Thursday to approve the term sheet for a one-point-three-billion-dollar new downtown arena that will be the heart of the Project Marvel plan downtown.
Earlier, the Council voted down a request by Mayor Gina Ortiz Jones to take a strategic pause on agreeing to any term sheet so that more community feedback could be taken in about the project’s impact.
