By Dell Technologies plans to move its incorporation from Delaware to Texas. The tech giant is based in Round Rock, but incorporated in Delaware because of the state’s business-friendly legal system.
The company’s headquarters have been in Round Rock since 1994, ten years after CEO and board chairman Michael Dell founded the firm. The board of directors unanimously approved the company’s reincorporation in Texas. Shareholders will vote on the proposal next month at the company’s annual meeting.
