A Fort Worth dentist is in custody following the investigation of a child’s death at her dental office in April. Police arrested Chrishelle Hemphill on Wednesday on a charge of causing serious bodily injury to a child.
The four-year-old patient didn’t wake up after a procedure Hemphill performed at Cuddle Kids Dental on Sycamore Street.
Investigators say there was enough Demerol in the child’s bloodstream to kill an adult. Hemphill is accused of giving the child the wrong medication to address an opiate overdose.
