The Texas Department of Public Safety says a million dollars in suspected cocaine was recently seized during a traffic stop in Edinburg. Members of the Texas Rangers Special Operations Group stopped a Ford F-250 at U.S. 281 and Alberta Road last Thursday. A K-9 unit alerted officers to the presence of drugs, and 50 bundles of cocaine were found in a space under the truck’s bed. The two men in the truck were arrested and charged with possession with intent to distribute more than five kilograms of cocaine.
