The head football coach at Edinburg Vela High School is being suspended days after he testified in a lawsuit accusing him of forcing students to work out naked.
Edinburg CISD school officials confirmed the suspension of Coach Ernesto Alonzo on Thursday. Alonzo faces two lawsuits from a total of four students claiming he forced them to work out naked in 2024. He denied the allegations in a hearing for one of the lawsuits earlier this week.
