A judge is expected to sign an execution order today for a man convicted of murdering a Houston jeweler during a diamond heist in 1996.

Reinaldo Dennes has been on Texas death row for nearly 30 years for a deadly robbery that killed jeweler Janos Szucs and wounded a security guard. The state is asking that Dennes’s execution be scheduled for November 19th.

More than three-point-five million dollars’ worth of diamonds were stolen during the robbery and what became of them is still a mystery.
