A suspect is in custody for the road-rage murder of a woman on I-20 in Fort Worth on Thursday morning. Police responded around 6:30 a.m. to the shooting on the eastbound freeway near Granbury Road. The woman died at the scene and the suspect drove away.

Late Thursday, Fort Worth police arrested Patrick Lawrence on a charge of murder. Lawrence reportedly has prior drug and assault charges in Tarrant County.

Officials identified the victim as LaTaivia Davis, a teacher’s aide at E. Ray Elementary School in the Everman ISD.
