The family of a tow truck driver killed earlier this week in Harlingen is upset over images showing his body that are circulating on social media.
A lawyer for the family of David Zapata issued a cease and desist notice Wednesday, demanding the removal of pictures and videos related to Zapata’s death.
Robert Flores said the family has not given its consent for the release or sharing of that material, which he called traumatizing and deeply harmful. Flores also said that anyone who doesn’t abide by the order could face potential legal liability.
