A Muslim community leader’s legal team is challenging his detention in Dallas by Immigration and Customs Enforcement. ICE agents detained Marwan Marouf on Monday morning after he dropped his son off at school.

Marouf has lived in the US for more than 30 years, and is involved in community activities ranging from the Boy Scouts to drug awareness campaigns.

The Muslim Legal Fund of America is challenging the detention in both federal and immigration court.
