An Indiana man is facing multiple charges after being arrested in Weslaco. Border Patrol agents began chasing a vehicle that refused to pull over in Progreso Monday. The pursuit ended in the two-thousand block of West Expressway 83 when the vehicle hit a Department of Public Safety patrol unit.
Five people inside the vehicle were arrested for being in the U.S. illegally. Thirty-four-year-old Cesar Rafael Leon was also arrested for five counts of human smuggling, aggravated assault of a public servant and evading arrest.
