A man is facing charges after burning an American flag near the White House. He was arrested by U.S. Park Police Monday evening in Lafayette Square.

A video posted online showed the man saying that he was a combat veteran who was burning the flag in protest of an executive order from President Trump.

The President signed an order Monday ordering a crackdown on flag burning. The man was reportedly charged under a law that bans lighting fires in a public park.
