A man is in custody after a deadly Thursday shooting in Hidalgo County. Authorities began investigating after 41-year-old David Adam Garza was involved in a crash in the area of Fifth and Gill streets in Hargill. They found that 41-year-old David Adam Garza had been shot, and he died at the scene.
Investigators discovered that Garza had been involved in an altercation a few blocks away, and the suspect reportedly fired shots at Garza as he was leaving the area.
Twenty-three-year-old Jose Ascencion Lopez, Junior, was arrested for allegedly shooting Garza. He was arraigned on a murder charge on Saturday, and his bond was set at one-point-five-million dollars.
