A South Texas man is facing charges after he allegedly tried to impersonate a police officer to get a discount at Chick-fil-A. Fifty-nine-year-old Eric Michael Rodriguez was arrested Tuesday after an investigation by McAllen police.

The Laguna Vista man reportedly showed a badge to Chick-fil-A employees and claimed to be an off-duty police officer. He allegedly caused a disturbance when the discount wasn’t given, calling the employees racist. He was charged with false identification as a police officer and released after posting a two-thousand-dollar bond.
