Rio Grande Valley first responders are analyzing the results of a mass casualty exercise held yesterday in San Benito. The event replicated the emergency response to a potential bus crash with multiple victims.
First responders tested several new techniques during the exercise, including a color-coded wristband system to classify patient injuries when communicating with hospitals. Those who participated said some areas needed improvement, but they felt the exercise was mostly successful.
