Federal officials say an ICE raid at a ropa usada business in McAllen last week was the result of a months-long undercover investigation.

The agency said an informant was hired by Moon Rise Trading Corporation over the summer despite portraying themselves to be an illegal immigrant, and recorded conversations with other workers who identified themselves as migrants.

Federal immigration officers executed a search warrant at the warehouse last week and reportedly arrested at least eleven employees who did not have the proper documentation to work in the U.S. The manager of the business faces multiple charges.
