Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem says the entire southern border wall is being painted black. Noem made the announcement Tuesday at a press briefing near El Paso, and said they are taking the action “specifically at the request of the President.”
Noem explained, “When something is painted black, it gets even warmer, making it even harder for people to climb.” She said funds for the painting were allocated in the massive spending bill that was passed earlier this year, and that the pace of the painting was currently “a little bit less than a half a mile a day.”
