New federal guidance is recommending all school buses be equipped with a system that prevents drunk driving.

A press release from the National Transportation Safety Board says the agency investigated multiple years worth of incident reports involving school bus crashes and uncovered a larger issue involving drivers being impaired.

As a result, the agency issued new guidance on Thursday recommending all new school buses be equipped with alcohol detection systems that can disable the bus if they detect driver impairment.
