The price of oil is dropping after President Trump’s latest threat to Iran. Prices fell more than ten percent after Trump said Iran would be hit “twenty times harder” if it stopped the flow of oil through the Strait of Hormuz.
The key waterway near Iran sees about a fifth of the world’s oil traffic. Oil prices are currently around 90 dollars a barrel after surging above 100 dollars this week.
