By Attorney General Ken Paxton’s campaign says he’ll debate state Representative James Talarico in the U.S. Senate race. Talarico challenged Paxton to debate him on Thursday morning.
Talarico, the Democratic candidate, said he’d accepted invitations from three Texas media groups for televised debates. Paxton’s campaign says it received the same invitations.
The two candidates are involved in a close race that has attracted record fundraising. No Democrat has won a statewide race in Texas in more than 30 years.
