A Starr County man is facing charges after a pursuit and crash on South Padre Island. Officers began the pursuit around 10:30 p.m. Wednesday.
A pedestrian was hospitalized after being struck by a vehicle during the pursuit. The chase ended when the blue Nissan Sentra crashed in the 36-hundred block of Padre Boulevard.
Esteban Garcia the Third of Rio Grande City was arrested and charged with DWI, reckless driving and evading arrest.
