A Texas law, requiring age verification to access adult websites, has withstood a challenge at the U.S. Supreme Court. The justices ruled that states have the authority to prevent children from accessing sexually explicit content.

The law was challenged by a trade association for the pornography industry. They tried to claim that age-verification violated the right to Free Speech. But, in his ruling Justice Clarence Thomas wrote that “not all speech is protected.”
