President Trump is back at the White House this morning, fresh off a two-day visit to Ireland that followed the 25th anniversary of the 9-11 attacks here in the U.S. Trump sparked controversy on Saturday when he said in Dublin that he would “love” to see a united Ireland and thinks it’s going to happen “eventually.”
Then on Sunday he doubled down on his proposed five-thousand-dollar dividend checks for American adults if Republicans maintain control of Congress after the midterm elections.
Some Republicans have raised concerns about the cost and potential impact on inflation. House Speaker Mike Johnson says Congress would need to act before the checks could be issued.
