A new bipartisan federal tax proposal could see electric vehicle owners forking over as much as 150-dollars a year.
The tax is under consideration in the U.S. House Transportation and Infrastructure Committee and would take effect next October at 135-dollars. It would increase five bucks a year up to 150-dollars.
Hybrid owners would pay as much as 50-dollars. The money would be used to supplement road funding that’s currently collected on gasoline taxes.
