By San Benito is renaming an annual event honoring labor leader and activist Cesar Chavez. Cesar Chavez Day will now be Community and Labor Heritage Day. The new celebration will start next year on the Monday after Good Friday and Easter Sunday.
The city becomes the latest community to revoke honors for Chavez, who was accused of sexually abusing young girls and women in reports that surfaced earlier this year.
