A flesh-eating insect, called the screwworm fly, is gaining steam as it migrates north through Mexico.

Texas Agriculture Commissioner Sid Miller says that having a 50-percent increase in infections, month-over-month, shows the insect is not under control.

Earlier this month, the FDA gave farmers the ability to treat infestations with Ivermectin.
