A flesh-eating insect that could devastate the cattle industry is inching closer to the Mexico border with Texas.

Ranchers say it’s too close for comfort. Peyton Schumann with Southwestern Cattle Raisers Association says all they can do is wait and watch for the New World Screwworm Fly. The latest spotting is about two-hours south of Laredo.
