A number of Texas towns are in the US News & World Report’s new 2025-2026 list of “Best Places to Live.”

The media company compiled the list by analyzing 250 major US cities on the basis of their quality of life, value, job market, desirability and net migration.

Austin suburbs that made the cut include Leander in eighth place and Pflugerville at number 15. Elsewhere in the top 20 are Pearland, League City, Flower Mound, Sugar Land, and McAllen.
