Over 70-million Americans from the South to the Midwest will be feeling the heat this week. A new heat dome will start to build from the Gulf Coast to the plains on Tuesday, before spilling to the Midwest on Wednesday, and then push into the East on Thursday.
Cities including Chicago, St. Louis and Memphis could see their hottest temps of the year. The National Weather Service has issued extreme heat warnings, watches and advisories for millions of people.
