South Texas is not faring well in a new ranking of educational attainment in America.
WalletHub recently compared the 150 largest metropolitan areas in categories like school system quality and attainment of diplomas and degrees. The McAllen-Edinburg-Mission area ranked last in educational attainment, and next-to-last in the overall score for most educated city.
The Brownsville-Harlingen area was ranked 148th overall, while Corpus Christi came in 140th.
