A new survey says over half of all U.S. workers can’t cover a 500-dollar emergency expense from their savings.

The new poll conducted by emergency savings accounts provider SecureSave showed that 55 percent of U.S. employees do not have enough savings to cover an unexpected 500-dollar expense, and that over 40 percent have had to skip medical care, meals and car repairs in the past six months because of financial strain.
