The state’s back-to-school tax-free weekend is coming up in a hurry. The annual sales tax holiday starts on Friday, August 8th, and continues through midnight on Sunday, August 10th.
Qualifying items exempted from sales taxes during this period include school supplies, clothes, and most shoes under 100 dollars. There’s no limit on the number of eligible items shoppers can buy.
Items that aren’t eligible include computers, computer bags, software, textbooks, framed backpacks, and athletic, duffel, or gym bags.
