The state is requiring Texas Children’s Hospital in Houston to create a detransitioning clinic for transgender patients later this year.

The Texas Attorney General’s Office announced details on Monday of a ten-million-dollar settlement resulting from a 2023 investigation of the hospital by the attorney general’s office.

Texas Children’s must set up the detransitioning clinic within 90 days of the effective date of the settlement. Since a final settlement hasn’t been signed, the effective date has yet to be agreed upon.
