The Texas House plans to host redistricting hearings in several cities in the week ahead. A special session of the state Legislature started on Monday, and one of the items on the agenda is a Republican-backed plan to redraw Texas congressional district boundaries.
The first hearing will be on Thursday at the Texas Capitol. Next up is a hearing at 11 a.m. Saturday on the University of Houston’s main campus. The final hearing is at 5 p.m. Monday on the campus of U-T Arlington. Anybody can sign up to testify at the hearings.
