Texas’ annual Operation Slowdown Campaign started over the weekend and continues through August 2nd.

The campaign is part of the Texas Department of Transportation’s Statewide “Be Safe. Drive Smart” campaign. TxDOT says speed was a contributing factor in more than 150-thousand crashes in the state in 2025, resulting in over 12-hundred deaths and 56-hundred serious injuries.

During Operation Slowdown, state and local law enforcement agencies will increase patrols to enforce posted speed limits. >>Woman Steals Amazon Delivery Truck In San Antonio
