President Trump says King Charles “agrees” Iran should not have a nuclear weapon. The British king met with Trump Tuesday and made remarks at a formal state dinner, but was not able to comment on Iran because he is required to remain politically neutral under British law. Afterward, Trump said the U.S. would not allow Iran to obtain a nuclear weapon and that Charles agrees “even more” than he does.

A spokesperson for Buckingham Palace responded to Trump’s claim, and said, “The king is naturally mindful of his government’s longstanding and well-known position on the prevention of nuclear proliferation.”
