TSA Understaffing During Partial Fed Shutdown Leads To Long Lines At Hobby

The Houston Airport System says the partial government shutdown may cause flight delays for Spring Break travelers. People flying out of Hobby Airport on Sunday saw waits of four or five hours because of a reduced number of TSA screening personnel.

Airport officials staffing shortages vary from shift to shift. Delays were also reported at Bush Intercontinental Airport, but not as severe.
