Anthropic is accusing Chinese technology firm Alibaba of extracting capabilities from its Claude AI program.
A letter sent to two members of Congress states operators linked to Alibaba carried out roughly 29-million exchanges with Claude using fraudulent accounts, and called it the largest extraction campaign of its kind. Anthropic is calling for Congress to penalize Alibaba and other companies behind similar attacks to prevent U.S. tech from being stolen.
This news comes as Anthropic filed a lawsuit against the U.S. government to have its name removed from the Pentagon blacklist.
