A woman faces charges nearly a year after her newborn baby was found dead in a trash bag in Northwest Harris County. Workers on a garbage truck found the baby in the back of the truck last August on Fountain Crest Drive.
Catherine Innes reportedly told investigators she gave birth to the child at home, but put it in the trash when she noticed it wasn’t breathing. Innes is charged with tampering with evidence – human corpse. She appeared in court Monday night.
