Fire Burns 20 Acres In Cameron County

First responders are not reporting any injuries after a 20-acre fire in Cameron County. Multiple departments responded to a grass fire in Bayview Sunday.

Multiple large piles of railroad tiles caught fire, but no buildings were damaged. Crews from Brownsville, Laguna Vista, Port Isabel and Los Fresnos responded to the fire, with assistance from U.S. Fish and Wildlife, the Texas Forest Service, the Texas Department of Public Safety and the Cameron County Sheriff’s Office.
