Democratic State Representative James Talarico is reportedly thinking of running for the US Senate. The fourth-term representative from Austin has asked TV stations about potential Senate ad rates.

Talarico is one of the House Democrats who fled Texas to obstruct a Republican plan to redraw the state’s congressional map. He reportedly said he was going to decide about a Senate run last week, but the quorum break delayed his decision. A Senate bid would pit him against incumbent Republican John Cornyn.
