Christmas Tree Blamed For Donna House Fire

Investigators say a real Christmas tree caught fire in a house in Donna early yesterday. First responders were called to the 900 block of Earling Road around 2:30 a.m. Crews put out the fire quickly, limiting most of the damage to the living room. The homeowner was taken to the hospital for evaluation, but no major injuries were reported. Fire officials say homeowners should take precautions when using a real Christmas tree, making sure it isn’t near a heat source and watering it every day.
