The U.S. military says the American blockade of Iranian ports has been “fully implemented.”
The head of U.S. Central Command said Tuesday that most of Iran’s economy is fueled by international sea trade, and in less than 36 hours, U.S. forces have “completely halted all economic trade going into and out of Iran by sea.”
Centcom says shipping traffic not related to Iran may cross through the blockade, and that U.S. forces may target ships carrying Iranian cargo long after they leave the Strait of Hormuz.
