A man accused of stabbing a McAllen police officer last month has been charged with attempted capital murder. Forty-two-year-old Peter Christopher Harris was charged on April 9th after he was released from the hospital.
The officer was allegedly stabbed in the hand on March 30th while answering a disturbance call on East Jay Avenue. The officer shot Harris in the left arm and right leg during the stabbing. Bond was set at one-million dollars.
