By The Edinburg school district has appointed an interim football coach at Robert Vela High School. Defensive coordinator Sean Landez was appointed to the post Tuesday.
The status of head coach Ernie Alonzo was not discussed during yesterday’s meeting. Alonzo is facing several lawsuits accusing him of forcing students to exercise naked in 2024.
