A U.S. special forces soldier is facing charges after he allegedly made hundreds of thousands of dollars betting on the removal of Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro.

The Justice Department says the soldier, identified as Gannon Ken Van Dyke, participated in the planning and execution of the U.S. military operation to capture Maduro. He’s said to have placed a wager in excess of 30-grand on Polymarket right before President Trump announced the operation was a success. That reportedly earned Van Dyke at least 400-thousand dollars.
