A man accused of causing a deadly weekend crash in Edinburg will need to pay more than a million dollars to get out of jail. A bond hearing for 31-year-old Miguel Angel Suarez was held Monday in Edinburg Municipal Court.
Investigators say Suarez was intoxicated when he ran a red light at the intersection of Salinas Street and West Monte Cristo Road on Saturday night.
Thirty-nine-year-old Martha Luna Miranda died in the crash, and multiple people in Miranda’s car were injured. Suarez is charged with manslaughter, intoxicated manslaughter and multiple counts of assault and aggravated assault.
